Fields

None = 0

Connections are made without TLS. This is the default when using a plain bolt:// or neo4j:// URI.

Encrypted = 1

Connections must use TLS. Equivalent to using a +s URI scheme suffix (e.g. bolt+s:// or neo4j+s://).

Remarks

For most use cases, encryption is configured through the URI scheme rather than this enum. Use bolt+s:// or neo4j+s:// to require TLS, or bolt+ssc:// / neo4j+ssc:// to require TLS while accepting self-signed server certificates.

Use EncryptionLevel with WithEncryptionLevel(EncryptionLevel) only when connecting via a plain bolt:// or neo4j:// URI and you need to override the default (unencrypted) behaviour.
