Create a project
A project in Neo4j Aura is a logical container for Aura resources such as instances, graph analytics sessions, agents, and dashboards.
A default project is created for you when you sign up to Aura, but you can also add more projects if needed (provided you have the right permissions).
To create a new project, you need to have either the Organization Owner or the Organization Admin role.
Navigate to your organization in the top-right corner of the console.
This takes you directly into the Projects page, but this is also accessible from the sidebar in the Organization menu. Use the Create project button to get started. Name the project and select a payment method. Optionally, you can add an SSO profile, see SSO for more information.
Once the project is created, you are taken to the Get started screen. From here, you can add members to the project and assign them an organization role and a project role, see User management for more information about roles and levels.

It is not possible to create a project using legacy marketplace payment methods. All new marketplace intergations will receive project creation functionality in early Q1 2026. |
Edit a project
To edit project details and settings, you need to have the Project Admin role.
From within a project, navigate to Project → Settings in the sidebar (not the Organization menu).
Here you can edit the project name, view the payment method attached to the project, and manage settings, including:
