Combating Gun Trafficking and Gun Violence With Graph Analytics and Visualization

Session Track: Graphs

Session Time:

Session description

In this talk, you will learn how law enforcement agencies are making use of graph databases to identify suspicious patterns in buyers, possessors, and dealers of crime guns in the United States. Developed in partnership with the Illinois Attorney General's Office, the Crime Gun Connect platform is a first-of-its-kind application that combines entity resolution, red flag analysis, and geolocation with a Neo4j database and a GraphQL API. Crime Gun Connect helps law enforcement generate new leads in gun crime investigations by flagging highly connected entities and making graph traversal easy for non-technical users.
