Session description

Perhaps at this point in time that graph-like relationships are abundant in biology and our database application, ribosome.xyz, is just a point in case. We use Neo4j to capture semantic relationships between the structural components of the ribosome and other large molecules. The polymers that make up these molecules possess a great deal of structural and functional heterogeneity with an abundance of natural relationships that lend themselves well to the graph format.

Howdy. I’m a student in the math department at UBC, Vancouver in Khanh Dao Duc’s lab. I’m interested in type theory and compilers, their applications in ML and, separately, ML applications to cryoEM/ET and downstream structural biology. I built and maintain ribosome.xyz.
