This week we spent a bit of time talking about why tokenising our data can be so powerful. As an example, by tokenising the grape varieties, we could easily spot ‘duplicates’ in our data. We also looked at how tokenising the grape varieties as well as the descriptions meant that we could discover the grape varieties for our wines. Also, by tokenising the descriptions, we could easily find wines that have rare traits, such as the aroma of chrives.
