Five Non-Technical Reasons You Need to Be at GraphConnect 2014

Five non-technical reasons why you don’t want to miss out on GraphConnect 2014 SF, the only conference on graph databases and applications:

The Locale

Situated in the heart of San Francisco, SFJAZZ is home to some of the coolest cats in the Bay Area and beyond. Showcasing performances from the best jazz musicians from around the world, the SFJAZZ Center is looking forward this year to the smooth piano stylings of Neo4j co-founder Emil Eifrem.

The Food

Included in your GraphConnect pass is access to the catered delicacies of Charles Phan, owner and Executive Chef of the locals’ favorite award-winning restaurant The Slanted Door. Phan is world-renowned for pioneering modern Vietnamese food and has expanded his repertoire with other restaurants including South, SFJAZZ’s very own in-house five-star restaurant.

The Fikas

Connect with other graphistas over coffee – or tea! In Sweden, Fikas (Swedish for coffee break) are an essential component of everyday life and we’re bringing Fikas to GraphConnect with plenty of snacks and drinks during networking breaks. With the first Neo4j code written in Sweden and current development mostly based in Malmö, this is a perfect opportunity to get the Swedish experience beyond IKEA and ABBA. Network with other graphistas with a hot cup of caffeine and a sweet treat as you gear up for the next graph-packed session.

The Party

After the fat lady sings (or in our case, after Jim Webber speaks), we’ll be throwing down for disCONNECT featuring a live jazz band. This year’s GraphParty is sponsored by CrunchBase, creators of the Business Graph. Get ready to mingle and boogie with Neo Technologists, CrunchBasers and all the amazing people you’ve met and heard from throughout the day.

The People

Over 700 graphistas from around the world will be flocking to the City by the Bay for the only conference focusing on the rapidly growing world of graph databases and applications. Graph experts (including the creators of the property graph model!) will share best practices and knowledge and you will the opportunity to network with other graph-mined people at the largest gathering of graph database enthusiasts in the world.
