We are back with the 2nd episode of Graphversation, a monthly livestream series that brings graph experts and Neo4j ninjas for engaging and informative conversations about the fascinating world of graphs. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced developer in graphs, we are confident that you will find our conversations engaging, informative, and thought-provoking.
In this episode, we have Joffin Joy who will walk us through his project titled, "SL O-Horizon: Enhancing Discovery On Beckn Enabled Open Networks Through Recommendations Using Neo4j & GDS". This project was developed by him along with his team during Skill-A-Thon 1.0 launched by EkStep Foundation and DSEP (Decentralized Skilling and Education protocols) community.
Joffin and his team's project won in the Challenge 4 category titled: "Unlock opportunities for the next billion by building intelligent technology solutions to find and deliver services" of the hackathon.
Here is a brief on the project developed by Joffin and his team: Open networks built in compliance with Beckn-Protocol enable consumer and producer platforms to discover, connect and transact with each other in a decentralized manner. One of the biggest challenges in such an open-network is the discovery of the most relevant resources, as independent consumers and producers are essentially isolated from each other. O-Horizon helps overcome this challenge by implementing a recommendation engine which leverages Neo4j & GDS. Using various techniques and algorithms, O-Horizon ensures that the quality of discovery no longer completely relies on user actions like manual-searches, but instead on the system's collective intelligence which is constantly evolving.
