Neo4j Wins InfoWorld’s 2014 Technology of the Year Award

Neo Technology, creators of Neo4j, the world’s leading graph database, today announced that Neo4j is a winner of IDG’s prestigious InfoWorld 2014 Technology of the Year Award. Hand-selected by InfoWorld Test Center editors and reviewers, the annual awards recognize the best and most innovative products in the hardware and software categories that matter most to businesses and IT professionals.

“InfoWorld’s Technology of the Year Award winners are the best products we know, but they’re more than great products,” said Doug Dineley, executive editor of InfoWorld’s Test Center. “These are the tools that point the way to the data centers, clouds, and applications of tomorrow. They’re the innovations that are changing the way we work and do business.”

Neo Technology is bringing graph databases to the masses with its recent announcement of Neo4j 2.0. Representing several years’ worth of R&D efforts, the new version makes it possible for anyone to install, learn and harness the power of the graph. Neo4j 2.0 represents the biggest advance in the property graph model in 13 years, includes radical improvements to Cypher, Neo4j’s purpose-built graph query language, and includes a new visual interactive UI, allowing the language to flow from one’s fingertips.

“We are very pleased to kick off the New Year with such a prestigious award win,” said Emil Eifrem, CEO of Neo Technology. “We are 100 percent committed to making graphs accessible to everyone, in every industry and are excited about the continuous recognition.”
