Talend and Neo Technology Advance NoSQL Capabilities with Support for Big Graph Databases

Latest release of Talend’s award-winning integration platform includes connector for leading NoSQL graph database Neo4j

LOS ALTOS, Calif. & SAN MATEO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Talend, a global open source software leader, and Neo Technology, creators of Neo4j, the world’s leading graph database, today announced a partnership to advance the deployment and integration of NoSQL graph databases to enterprise environments. As part of the agreement, Talend has added a new connector for Neo4j in its integration solutions, Talend Platform for Big Data and Talend Open Studio for Big Data, enabling users to easily connect and analyze data from disparate systems to help drive and improve business performance. As data explodes in volume and complexity, many systems have difficulty handling sophisticated queries while achieving high performance results. Neo4j is specifically designed to overcome the challenges that organizations face when attempting to manage connected data with traditional databases. As a high-performance graph database, Neo4j is transactional, durable, and scales to meet the demands of complex data. “Neo4j’s unique approach to solving some of the most critical data challenges has been proven across many thousands of successful deployments, including over 25 of the Global 2000,” said Philip Rathle, Senior Director of Products for Neo Technology. “With Neo4j now readily accessible to users of Talend’s advanced integration platform, developers can more quickly build and maintain big data applications and move data between systems.” Built on Talend’s award-winning open source integration technology, Talend Open Studio for Big Data is a powerful and versatile open source solution for big data integration that natively supports Apache Hadoop, including connectors for Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), HCatalog, Hive, Oozie, Pig, Sqoop, Cassandra, HBase, MongoDB and Couchbase – in addition to more than 450 other connectors included natively in the product. The integration of the Neo4j database with Talend’s Big Data solutions enables customers to use these new connectors to migrate and synchronize data between Neo4j and all other data stores and systems. “By partnering with Neo Technology, the creators of the world’s leading graph database, Talend is once again advancing our technology and market leadership,” said Fabrice Bonan, Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer, Talend. “Talend is the only integration provider to offer such a broad set of connectors, especially those supporting the big data ecosystem. Neo4j connectors were developed by community members who contributed them to the community, which is a testament to the power of the open source ecosystem for solving complex integration issues and multiplying the reach of our solution.” Talend’s vibrant ecosystem of users and partners often provide new community-developed connectors that are added to the Talend products in addition to the connectors included natively. The Neo4j connectors were developed by engineers of Talend’s partnerZenika, a systems integrator specializing in NoSQL and open source platforms. By adding them to the main distribution, Talend commits to the support and maintenance of these connectors on an ongoing basis. Read the full Article
