After completing a Master of Science at the University of Pennsylvania, Kara did international development research in Santiago, Chile. Her most recent consultancy with the Inter-American Development Bank involved evaluating the business innovation ecosystems of 24 countries in Latin America. During the past seven years, she worked in inbound marketing and project management at a Philadelphia-based SEO company. She wrote copy on behalf of thought leaders in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, among other industries.

When she isn’t busy writing, Kara enjoys trekking in the mountains, playing the piano, and diving into a great novel. She is also an avid lover of all things Spanish.
