Neo4j Recognized for the First Time in the 2022 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Cloud Database Management Systems

It’s the first time that Neo4j – or any native graph vendor – has been included in the report. And this is just the beginning.

We’re thrilled to announce that Neo4j has been recognized in the 2022 Gartner®️ Magic Quadrant™️ for Cloud DBMS and the first time that native graph vendors more broadly have been included in the report. We believe this is just the beginning.

We see this inclusion as a huge milestone for us to be ranked as part of the broader landscape of all cloud database management systems. More importantly, we see it as validation of the entire category of graph databases that we created, and a testament to the fruits of our leadership and innovation that is accelerating adoption within and across the enterprise.

Gartner has recognized Neo4j, based on the company’s “overall completeness of vision and ability to execute.”

We’re only just getting started. According to Gartner, “by 2025, graph technologies will be used in 80% of data and analytics innovations, up from 10% in 2021, facilitating rapid decision-making across the enterprise.” (Gartner®️ “Market Guide: Graph Database Management Solutions” Merv Adrian, Afraz Jaffri 30 August 2022)

We’re proud too of other recent milestones, including the general availability last month of Neo4j 5, our next-generation cloud-ready graph database, continued double-digit growth after crossing $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) last year, and continued innovation this year following the raise in 2021 of the largest funding round in database history.

What an exciting capstone for 2022 – with much more to come in 2023!
