How Go and Neo4j enabled the FT to Deliver at Speed: In late 2015 the FT Semantic Metadata team decided to investigate using a graph database as an alternative to, or perhaps additional store for their existing tripple store. After a brief spike we picked Neo4J and over the past few months we have re-written a host of microservices in GoLang (from surprisingly memory hungry Java services). It’s been an interesting journey in technology, culture and techniques which is nearing its first destination.
