Delete a graph dataset
Deleting a graph dataset in Microsoft Fabric results in different behavior depending on whether the graph was created by Fabric or by the Aura console.
Deleting a graph dataset in the Fabric workspace that was created through Microsoft Fabric also deletes the corresponding instance in Aura.
Deleting a graph dataset in the Fabric workspace that was created by connecting to an existing Neo4j AuraDB instance does not delete the AuraDB instance in the Aura console. Instead, this gracefully disconnects the connection between the Fabric Workspace and Aura.
Deleting a graph dataset in the Fabric workspace can also leave behind the Fabric Spark environment created with it. If this happens, creating a new graph dataset with the same name fails. See Failed Graph Dataset creation for how to resolve this.

Note that if you delete an instance created by Fabric in the Neo4j Aura console, the graph dataset is not removed from your Fabric workspace. Doing so causes the graph dataset to fail to launch. |
