Neo4j AuraDB quotas and limits

This document provides an overview of the Neo4j AuraDB and Aura free trial limits regarding graph size and instance configurations. It also outlines feature-specific limits across different tiers. These limits are in place to ensure the stability, performance, and security of the managed service.

AuraDB tiers overview

AuraDB is offered in four distinct tiers, each designed for different use cases, from learning and development to mission-critical enterprise applications.

  • AuraDB Free: A perpetual free tier for learning, prototyping, and small projects.

  • AuraDB Professional: A scalable, pay-as-you-go tier for production-ready applications.

  • AuraDB Business Critical: A highly available, multi-node cluster for mission-critical workloads requiring a 99.95% uptime SLA.

  • AuraDB Virtual Dedicated Cloud (VDC): A single-tenant, dedicated environment offering maximum security, isolation, and customizable configurations.

AuraDB graph size & instance configuration limits

These limits define the scale of an AuraDB instance based on its tier and configured size. See Instance details for the descriptions of the instance configurations.

1. Higher available on request.
2. Note that when using metrics-forwarding to get access to Neo4j’s built-in metrics, you may see fluctuating values for CPU related series. This is because Aura’s resource scheduling is dynamic at runtime, transparent to the underlying Neo4j process.
